Dashcam install to a W212

Hi all

I have just ordered a new E250 CDI saloon as a company lease car to replace my C180 CGI.

I am going to install an Itronics dash cam. Has anyone fitted a dash cam to a W212? If so, how did you route the cable and have you hardwired it?

I am also wondering if it is possible to connect it to the screen on the dash - I have map pilot rather than full comand.

I connected mine through to the 12V supply in the centre console of the B class, ran the cable up around behind the trim to the OHP and mounted the camera on the screen looking out at the road ahead.

Works a treat.
