Daytime Running Lights

Hi there

I have a new C220 Estate (62 plate) which has the daytime running lights on.

I have noticed lots of the new mercs on the road with the same - however they seem to be able to have the main lights and DTR lights on at the same time.....when my main lights come on the DTRL's switch off.

Its not a huge problem I know but just wondering if they should always be on or not?

I think that if you have Xenon your DRL stay on when headlights are on (but dim), if you have Halogen they turn off

Also, I didn't realise it was legislation for all new cars to have DRL's until I read that.
