Daytime Running Lights?

I have a bike licence. But don't use it. You should also get your facts clear before making a judgement.

That's why I said "apologies if I am wrong". I stuck my neck out because 90% of the time that a 'bike hits the side of a car, the reason is the same. I don't even have to name that reason for you to know what I mean.

You did imply that most bikers are dangerous, and came across very anti-motorcyclist. You may have a licence but I doubt you're a biker.

It soon became very clear to me that a car in the heat haze was a LOT more visible with headlights on and yet it caused me no discomfort or annoyance.
This is a great example of where DRL's or daytime headlamps are of benefit. The trouble is, there are many other conditions when they are not and I don't remember the last time I saw heat haze on the roads in Oxfordshire.

It's a bit like flouride in drinking water: an idea borne of good intentions and with a narrow range of benefits, but also some significant drawbacks.

Yes, you are right. I am no biker (was for a brief period and decided it was not for me).
