I appreciate what your doing in the quest for speed and no doubt you will continue to aim for 200 mph and good on you.

No doubt if you find a long enough empty private road we will see the clip :)

Good on you.

PS how much torque has the Brabus bullet ? / bhp

In that case i look forward to taking my E320cdi to over 200 with it's 470 Nm of torque...

Just messing with you ;)

Pretty sure the bullet has 1,320 Nm which is limited to 1,100Nm and 730bhp.
Is said to reach over 225mph...

its carrying me is it not.if the car at 349hp and 332 torque at a weight of 1609.09 kilo's takes me to 176 mph, clearly (if accurate) 422bhp and 444 torque at 1609.09 kilo's would take me a further 24 mph???i think that would just be enough!but suppose its down to actually having the ******** to go that fast in a sedan with not much in the ways of aero dynamics!!

Not necessarily.

Aerodynamic drag (usually the limiting factor) does not go up in a linear way with speed. Doubling the speed increases drag by a factor of 4. So the faster you go, more and more power is needed for each extra mph.

That's why the Veyron needed 1000 bhp to reach 250 mph.

Agree with above,

Simply doing the sums as you have it 'should' do 200mph...just (not easily though)

Factor in the wind and I think your going to need a tad more....

Well , the SLR weighs 180 kilos more than yours , and i would imagine is a fair bit more aerodynamic , but that needs 620 bhp to crack 200 mph ...

This is very true!!we can all try though hey!!

Funny you left out the bit where i said it proberly wouldnt happen due to aerodynamics!:)

but suppose its down to actually having the ******** to go that fast in a sedan with not much in the ways of aero dynamics!!

meaning that the main reason why it would not reach that top speed, is because of its aerodynamics!

a sedan with not much in the ways of aero dynamics!!

You mean this bit ?

Doesn't say it won't happen , just that your car is shaped like a brick .

wow sorry am i upseeting people here??i made a remark about what i fill my car could achieve and your getting ficulty, lol!i do apoligise to you guys, i mean no harm!just a comment!jokes!!

Considering that we're all "nay saying" on you, you're taking it very well!

There's nothing wrong with having a goal and speculating on what you need to do to achieve that.

The main problem that members on here will have with your claims is that they want cold hard evidence before they believe anything. - I don't think anyone is getting upset.

I would be excited to see you prove us all wrong. Good luck to you. :bannana:

Not at all , i was just playing too ;)

It's just you hear so much ' My car will do xxx mph ' and while it is nice to kid ourselves that it will , in the real world , they won't ...

I linked to Matt , with a twin turbo v12 putting out 700 bhp , and the fact that he only just cracked 200 , there's just no way ( in real life , not a computer model ) that a C32 will crack 200 i wouldn't have thought ...

Once you get into those upper reaches of 180+ you need serious power , and 440 isn't serious enough ...

No harm in trying though :) all good fun !!

ok well let me just dig out a video to you all of jerry at let motorsports mercedes c32 amg, and this one will be before he done twin turbo conversion, and then ill give you the mods to get it there.

The ferrari F40 only has a 2.9l engine and that broke 200mph for the first time... ;):D

Bit different though isn't it ..

Stripped out racer , no stereo , electric windows or anything ... ;)
