Diagnostic problem w202

Hi guys,
I owe a 1995 c36.
I had a problem with srs,abs and ets lights on.
I connected the diagnostic tool and did solve the airbag no probs.
It seems that diagnostic tool doesn't want to link with any other module on the car.Cannot get to the engine,gearbox or the abs.
Tool worked on other w202's no probs.
Anybody had same problem in the past maybe??

yes i have had problems in the past a star test is the easy way to fix it

check the (bas)brake assist servo box under brake servo three electrical connectors on it they take in water if engine bay was washed or cleaned , its just a case of unplug and in a second hand one or new to see if it clears the fault if you can then you know the fix

thats if you have a second one

To clear the BAS/ESP fault turn the steering wheel lock to lock from left to right a few times.

Hopefully it should go.

Did try to clean the connectors-didn/t help.
Will try 2morrow do the steering wheel tip.
