Did mercedes do a glass sunroof for a w124?

Natalies whirls, makes horrid noises and no action-half the motor exterior is missing. Manual winding does nothing (clearly something internally has stripped?) or is it the cable?

Probably cable by the sounds of it....or combination of busted motor and cable.

Probably a good starting point to repair / replace with good used.

Would this fit my coupe (despite the ad saying its for/from an estate? I assume the winding gear is different but the actual frame et al is identical. Is this a false premise by me??

Just spoke to the seller...sunroof is not glass !

I suspected because in the pics i could see reflections but not anything the other side of the glass !

recent pic below of Hammer (post restoration) glass sunroof....even with reflections, one can see behind the glass...

I know this was covered before but is that sunroof a genuine factory item.? It's just that they don't normally have edge strips as the metal is formed so aren't required.
