I am beginning to think my car hates me.

It is now trying my patience with bulbs

It looks like the number plate bulbs have gone. Is it usual that they both go together?
If one blows will it not show an error till they both go?

Why do they make it so hard to change the bulbs?
I have looked at a thread that tells you to take the lining off the boot lid.
That’s ok if you have the correct tool but why have two screws on the outside just to fool you in thinking it’s a 5 minute job?:wallbash:

it is a 5 min job? undo the screws, prise down the lenses, replace bulbs.. an error should show even with just one gone... maybe you have a wiring issue at the hinge.

Hi Jaymanek

Do I remove the screws on the boot handle and only try to move the bulb housing lenses?
I tried to pull on the whole handle and it didn't move.

Many thanks

Steve

I don't have any scres on the lenses?
please see attached pic but sorry it's dark outside

Well

Got the gadget to remove the trim clips
got the bulbs

Can I do it?

No

I bought 38mm festoon bulbs and try as I might I can't get them in.

i can't seem to get the springs apart enough for the bulbs to go in.

I even tried to undo the plastic trim as you can get to the two bolts from inside the lid.
the bolt just spins in the hole.

If anybody has a clue on what I am doing wrong I would be grateful for the assistance.

Otherwise I will just have to go back and change the bulbs for 36mm

Hi Keith
Thanks for the offer.
I finally got them in today
No doubt they will drop out though with my luck

Cheers

Steve
