I wanna know if your cars came from factory with this cd-changer protective cover?
Or was this changer cover only an option for the BOSE package?

I guess this one fits a CLK208?
It is for MC 3196 and MC3198 cd-changers.
It is for sale in the classifieds.

I am just curious if this cover was ever sold in Europe or only as an export option for other countries?

Whats the part number on it ?

Whats the part number on it ?

I haven't seen the parts number of this cd-changer cover!

I have another holder for my C43 AMG but the predrilled holes on both hinges are further apart on this protective cover!

The attached pictures shows that predrilled holes are closer to each other.
I suspect this cover is for a CLK208 or a 210??

I have to measure the distance between both holes to know!
Then you can measure the distance in your car, if you have these predrilled holes for a cd changer delivered from factory.
Here is a picture.
But the picture is missing the automatic drop carpet lid, which mine has present!

Picture is from a C43

my car came with another type of cd changer holder!
it's only bolted with 2 screws in the trunk, leaving the complete changer unprotected from damage from other heavy things moving around in the trunk or when it's raining and raindrops pooring in the trunk when you open it or after you had washed your car!

This is my present cd-changer holder on my car.
Soon I will change it for the more luxurious and more secured one!

This cd cover seems to fit CLK208 and 210 E-class.
This cd cover is an OEM part for export countries according to internet info!
I've never seen this cover on Euro spec cars!
If you care about your precious cd-changer in the trunk then this is a good and safe investment modding!

Talking about the price is no problems!

If it's an OEM part , chances are there will be a part number on it somewhere.

Sorry bud I haven't looked very closely, I will do it tomorrow.
When you have the time can you measure the predrilled holes where the factory changer is mounted?

This way I will be sure it fits a CLK208
Thanks

Yes , will measure them tomorrow , do you mean where the changer bolts to the car itself ?

Do you want the hole centre to centre measurement ?

just measure hole to hole distance apart!
You see when you lift the carpet in the trunk and see if you have the factory predrilled holes for standard MB cd changer fitment!
Measure from hole to hole on supporting steelplate where the changer is bolted.

The predrilled holes on this cd cover are perfect match to OEM MB cd changers!
This cover is an MB part because it fits the changer perfectly!
MC3196 and MC 3198.
I have the MC3198 changer in my car!
This cover was to short where the hinges are pulled out to be bolted in the trunk, this means cover is not for 202 C-class, must be 208 or 210!
Thanks

Went to the stealership today with my fancy schmancy luxury cd cover!
They asked me what is that?
I say it's an luxuriuos protective cd changer cover!
No **** they said at the stealership!

So I asked them have you ever seen such thing?
Stealership dude says NO!

I say that's what I thought!!
I'm too good for your knowledge about MB cars!

So my Boss friend at the stealership checks with MB!
They confirm that this cd cover was never sold in Europe!
Only for exclusive markets only!

Now you forum dudes whom wants to have a unique car here's the chance to own this exclusive cd protective cover in rigid metal with a sturdy cover on top!

I measured the distance apart between both pre drilled holes and it is about 20 cm between both holes!
I guess this cover was made for CLK208 or 210 E-class!

This cover is an excellent protector of your precious cd changer with a touch of exclusivity that wasn't offered in Europe!

Does it look any good or bad?
I'm so frikkin' happy it was a bolt on cover.
Now the cd changer is secured in a protective cover.
My C43 is now a uniqe car.

Kowalski you did an amazing job on your car.
Right on!

Looks decent fella.

I'm mighty proud of it!
Now I have to find a buyer for the other similar cover that fits CLK or E-class!

I also sell the metal holder if someone's interested?
