I'm looking for a diesel car customisation and tuning specialist in Kent, preferably close to Medway.

Thanks

Let me know what you come across. I wanted to get my C270 cDI looked at as well

There are a few companies that I looked at which send you a scanning tool which you connect to your CAN bus, they back up the existing map, you send them a copy of the map, they modify it to a known working map (improved power and economy) send the new map back to you and you use the scanner to upload the new map yourself. So all done at home.

Take you cars to MSL Performance in Birmingham.

The journey is fine up the M40 and fun down!

Ask me how I know. :D

Thanks for the suggestions.

I am looking for a someone to source a turbo for me, modify the manifold or create an an Adapter for it to fit and whatever else is involve to fit a different turbo. I can do the intercooler and piping myself.

So this is why I need someone quite close to me.

Thanks

Ah I get ye. If I hear of any tuning garages that do fabrication of parts I will let you know. Bigger or second turbo?

Remember that if you are updating that you may be limited by the fuel pressure, injection array, fuel rail or plugs. You may need a garage that has experience in the whole shebang.

Ok thanks you. I am aware of fuel pressure issues of going for big horsepower but apparently original pump is good for 250-300bhp. I'm looking for a turbo thats bigger than standard but is drivable. It's a daily driver and its also an automatic

Wouldn't a better option be to buy another second hand GT25 and send it away to be worked on.

That way you can leave the manifold standard and create a turbo much better suited to your requirements. You'll be able to get something that spools quick and it made for 250bhp. It would be a cheaper option than getting someone to fab all those bits.

With the standard pump/6mm elements, you'll get to 250bhp with a push but it depends on who is remapping it. I think this would be a better option?

That does sound good, if 250bhp is achievable.

Someone mentioned the E300 turbo is slightly bigger and bolts straight in. Is that An option?

It will bolt onto the manifold but has different oil lines and the exhaust down pipe will need modifying, it's not worth the work to fit.

Ok I see. Well this does sounds like a great option. Can you recommend a company to work on the turbo?

Thanks

Thanks for that. Will it just be reconditioned back to its original state when or will it perform better than new?

Try turbo dynamics or tdi turbos. Probably best to speak to as many as you can and get a range of options/prices.

The turbo housing will need to be machined and larger internals fitted to create a hybrid. If you google hybrid gt25 you should get some similar results.

I can't seem to find tdi turbos website. I'll contact turbo dynamics though.

Thanks

Even if the fuel pump is good for 250-300 Bhp I doubt the injectors could keep up, esp with uprated turbo. The shop you pick should be able to assist in that area though.
I agree that getting an identical turbo modded with a new larger rotor, larger internals, may be the best option as you are changing very little on the rest of the system.
