Hello folks :)

I own a G-reg 420SE Mercedes.

I would like to change the alloys as over the cars 15 odd years, they
are starting to show their age, unlike the rest of the car :D

Now, I found these on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8041026174&fromMakeTrack=true

They are described as 225/55/16.

Now, the current tyres on my current alloys state 205/55/15R.......does that mean that the above are not suitable? Or if they are, what is the difference between 205 and 225?

Any help appreciated

:)

225/50/16 would be fine on your W126...

225 is a wider tyre and will be ok on your car.

you have the wrong size tyres at the momemt. You should have 205 65 15!

225 55 16 will fit if the cars not lowered.

thanks to all for all their help! :)
