Hi,I would like to change all the discs and pads myself, does this year have to have the electronics disabled or is it just a normal change as per any car.
New to Mercs and I donot want to upset the ecu etc.

Hi - I have the same year 320 cdi - straight swap no issues - all discs and pads were done - hope this helps

When I did my e320 (W211) I dropped off the grey connector on the anti lock unit under the bonnet. It was just a precaution I was told to take in case I needed to switch the ignition on while working on the car and the system pressurised up (that whirring noise you hear from time to time). It helped as at one point I needed to take it out of park to rock the car forward a little for the trolley jack handle to clear the wall.

Think it's labelled as SDC, no fear of forgetting to connect it as the car won't start unless attached again.

Think there was an issue/fear that it could if activated pressurise the callipers, and if off the car would then push the calliper pistons out.

Outside of that from when I replaced my front disks and pads on my E320 it was an easy job.
