Do i have DPF?

HI all,
i have a 54 plate c200 cdi, i have what looks like 2 cats. the second is blocked nothing gets through. it has 2 steel banjo pipes on it which look like they go up to a MAP sensor looking thing and also a small sensor with 2 wires. Does anybody know if this is DPF? i wanted to open and empty this one but if it is a DPF i believe i cant?

Thanks for the reply, unlucky for me, i thought they didnt start DPF until 2007ish, just my luck.....was a real bugger to get off too

Yes I just had to replace one on my brothers car.. same as yours a 54 plate.

how about steam cleaning them? anyone had any luck doing it ?
maybe some carb cleaner then steam clean?

It has been suggested to us that this can be done but we have just rebuilt the engine and turbo on our car so not about to risk anything.

and why not indeed, im all for experiments seriously, just a bit tight at the moment so if cleaning it gives me a couple of weeks until pay day then so be it, i can only do about 5 mph at the moment....
