Am thinking of driving up the coast of Norway, ending at Andenes, in late May, early June 12.

My CLS will need an E service while I am in Norway .. on the way back from Andenes (around half way between Andenes and Bergen).

Any recommendations for MB dealers please?

Can't help re Norway but why not get the car serviced before the big trip?

because I will still have 3k miles to go before service is needed ... the car already had an interim oil change, and I don't want to pay for an MB service and 'waste' 3k miles worth of distance.

you will probably want to do it beforehand anyway, or at least en route, EVERYTHING is stupidly expensive up there

I am from Norway, and I also have to agree on this last statement.. I think it would be better for your wallet to have the service done before you start this trip, because things are rather expencive on this little rock we call Norway..

But other than that, I wish you a great trip and welcome to our beautiful country. ;)
The nature experience is free, and we have alot of it! :)

Its had an interim oil change so get it serviced when you get back, no harm.
Take your own beer as well, ---- £8 a pint

It's more the getting the car thoroughly inspected and parts replaced if need be. Personally I think the intervals are very long and even at 3k miles left it would only do the car good and as such your trip will be less hassled and expensive and your service history more standardised rather than an MB Norway stamp which may put off buyers in the future of your car.

to put this into perspective:

last service was D service at 20k miles, interim oil and oil filter change at 25k miles, car now at 27k miles.

How many miles 'over' will it be if you get it serviced upon your return?

Look after my baby!!!

Fair do, but the service will be more expensive in Norway I bet.

that's why I trying to see if there's a dealer I can get a quote from
