Do you think this tyre is repairable? What would you do?

Thanks - but unfortunately it is letting air out, I noticed it due to the TPMS alert

There is an ‘undamaged and unrepaired’ tyre on eBay with 5mm tread but I chickened out of buying a used tyre... not sure if that’s reasonable or not, but I don’t know much about used tyres...

If you buy a used car , it’s got used tyres on buddy .

Some 90% of part-worn tyre retailers are selling unsafe rubber

Of the 152 firms selling already-used rubber in the UK reviewed by TyreSafe and Trading Standards, 139 were found to be offering unsafe tyres to unsuspecting motorists.

If you buy a used car, it is still a working car. If you buy a used tyre, it could be from anywhere - including a car that’s been in an accident and put the tyres under a lot of stress.

Anyway, it’s not the concept of the tyre being used, per se, it’s the fact that you just don’t know anything about how it was used or where it’s come from. Including following the wear pattern of my ‘suspension geometry’ and not some other car

And when I buy a used car, I usually try to change the tyres ASAP as most people fit economy tyres (although branded tyres are a big clue that the owner gives a crap!)

Anyway I am not dead against it but in this case I just want the peace of mind of two new tyres
