...on the right side only by the exhaust?

I think my 300-24 had a heat shield there , but it has been a while since I had it .

I've got the heat shields too, three of them in that area, but also I have a RH Engine Mount Cooling duct in two pieces. The first piece is jammed up against the bumper and brings the air through into the engine compartment via a 90 degree bend, the second takes it through directly to the mount and onto the exhaust to blow it down when driving. Very good for keeping the heat away from the mount and from the power steering hoses and box & things. I'd imagine it would be handy for the Turbo guys to help keep the underbonnet temps lower too.

EPC has it for my chassis, which incidentally does have the Special Parts For Hot Countries option. Wondered if this featured in the UK at all, you know, now that you can be classed a hot Country since Pipa no since it gets hot there now days.....

I have never seen this on any LHD 124's as the exhaust aside doesn't have the RHD congestion !
Diesels had the fender vent, but nothing from the bumper.
Possibly a RHD optional feature ?
Can you post the parts pic from the EPC?
I can only access the USA EPC but it could be a benefit for turbo builds :thumb:

I have a feeling it is standard fare for a Hot Country Option Code but I don't know for sure. That's why I thought I'd put it up here.

US EPC Group 52 11047, Part numbers have changed since then they are now 124-520-06-05 & 124-528-02-15 for USD$20.00, plus bolts.

You could mod it to point just about anywhere, so long as it could vent.....

Thing is Mechanics tend to forget about them, that's why you don't tend to see them. :)
