Does the W211 E55 pipe in "fake" engine noise?

I realise the w211 is a different car to my W210 and has a different exhaust but even with a pair of cats and the big centre box taken out of the exhaust, my W210 is still really quiet compared to tthe vids i've seen on YT.

Most of them are W211 E55 videos though so I wondered if that car just adds a bit of volume to the engine note with the stereo? Mine just has one pair of cats and the AMG backbox on it and it's very subdued in comparison.

This is the noise mine makes, through the dash cam mic. (please don't tell me off, I already realise I went a bit mad up there and haven't done it since, i do travel that road twice a day and it's very quiet coming the other way.)

Def not piped in! It's pure V8 supercharged noise!

No - it's all from the manifolds back to the back boxes.

It's not a lot louder in standard form than your car but you also get the supercharger noise on top.

I had to get mine modded to get it anything like close to starting to be loud enough.

Windows open makes a difference - so they could be open in the clips you watch.

That looks like it well and your correct sounds quiet up top at least compared with the e55k, The 211 sounds Glorious with the S/c and Small exhaust mods and no there not piped in

I love mine 1/2 throttle going up a incline doing 3rd to 4th gear change haha sounds epic
