Does Your Comand Offer SW Radio?

Neither mine or the wifes have this useful feature damn:D

Yes.
But from memory, its only the 49 metre band.

The 49 metre band was/is a widely used communication feature used mainly on mainland Europe - and the rest of the world.
We in the UK don't use shortwave much at all except the amateur ham enthusiasts.
Those that are old enough to remember Radio Luxembourg on 208 metres medium wave may recall that they also broadcast on short wave in the 49 metreband. Their exact frequency was 49.26 metres which gave them more or less worldwide coverage.

Which is why Mercedes put shortwave in Comand.

Dontcha love it though?

I'm gonna scan for stations :thumb:

Even my Audio 10 CD has it. I think you keep pressing the AM button until it switches to SW. Only found one station as I recall.

Used to work in a radio workshop dealing with (amongst many others) Vauxhall warranty stuff.

The Delco CD500 (from memory, this was 10 years ago) had SW, was fun listening to Radio Moscow and god knows what else.

The BBC World Service is good. News reports that actually report news rather than being obsessed with celebutard trivia.

Well of course it does; it's the main overseas propaganda arm of the Foreign Office. Can't maintain global hegemony with tales of Preston & Chantelle - they're for domestic consumption only.
