Door open when turning left

For some reason my soft-close on the drivers side has got "stuck". I can open/close the door, but it won't close all the way ( kinda sticks out a bit) no matter how hard I slam the door.

At first I though, oh well-another job to do, however while I was driving "energetically" I turned a sharp left and the interior light turned on, along with the "gong" noise and the dash said the door was open. It had unlocked the doors too.

At the time I thought, "oh shoot, i'm about to die", but the door didn't actually open.

Needless to say, I drove a bit calmer for the rest of the journey especially when turning left.

Called my mech up and he said it'll be over £100 for the part. Pricey, eh?

Is there anyway to repair this door mechanism?

open door and put a screvdriver in the lock mechanism gap and push the black lock lever back as if you had closed the door.

then press unlock the door
then try to shut the door.

sometimes the locks confuse themseleves there is usually a first catch then a secondary catch.

post a close up pic and ill arrow what to do.

No that is not the problem. The problem is with the suction part-you can hear air escaping just as the door is closed. I've taken the door card off and looked for any obvious splits in the pipe, but nothing. I reset the pump, still nothing.
A friend told me the connection at the actual mechanism is probably leaking the air.

Annoying, eh?
