Hi,

I’m confused on how I would go about cleaning the DPF on an automatic c class 2011. I have had people advise I need to regularly drive on motorways at over 2500rpm. The issue is even with eco mode turned off I drive at 80mph and the rpm is just at 2000. How do I drive at higher rpm? My car is automatic.

Thanks

Switch the transmission to manual mode and limit it to one gear less than what it's normallt doing when cruising on the motorway.

From 02:00 mins.

If your car is running properly you don’t need to drive in motorways at 2509 rpm, it will clean itself without you even knowing, just needs to be up to temperature, have enough fuel and drive for 20 mins, I monitored my B200 with ICarsoft and surprised me how quickly it takes place in normal driving.
