Hi

Here are a few pics of me driving home for Christmas, 500 km up to Kiev airport in temperature ranging from -12 to -18 in a 2007 Mit Pajero 3.8 V6 Petrol. I drove the first 300km and amazingly it only took 4 hours for that and approx 3 hours for the remaining 200km.

Snow was dry and lorries produced what seemed like a sand storm behind them, the Pajero coped well with winter tyres speed was kept mostly around the 100km/h but peaked at 120km/h:eek::eek:

Most exhilarating drive of my life. Glad to be home 34 hours later after flight was delayed in Kiev and had to then stop over in London.

Can you spot the roundabout?

Super pics, and we moan about 1 inch of snow........................

I'll be doing it the other way round in a few days! London to Moscow and then a very snowy drive 200km to Vladimir!

Hopefully my father-in-law will have warmed my car up nicely for us when he meets us :)

Yeah! Last New Year in Russia I had to dig the car out of a 2 FOOT deep snow fall! Fun and games - but everyone does it and thinks nothing of it!
