Spoke with DTUK today to ask them what the turbo boost pressure increased to on a C43 tuning box, they did not know and said they would check with the manufacturers

However they are TUV approved, I am not 100% sure what that means but was advised that cars in Germany that have tuning boxes have to have TUV otherwise the cars are impounded

Within 20 mins I had a response from DTUK who advised that the manufacturers have come back and said the standard car runs at 1.1 BAR and the box increases this by +0.2 to +0.4 BAR

What are peoples views on this, does the increase in boost seem sensible, I appreciate that reliability will be a possible issue in years to come etc.

TUV approval is like the UK's SVA testing/MOT but to a LOT higher standards. DTUK use DTE boxes from what I understand, but Andrew seems to know his stuff, and as you've seen if he doesn't know he will find out.
They have a large amount of cars passing through their stock on a lease basis so trial boxes and maps themselves to get the best results.

I think the increases should be within tolerance for your engine, although I would run the engine in for 8-10k before adding a box to it personally.

Cheers mate, I am planning to see what its like standard and hopefully be happy but ultimately the lure of more power will be strong ha!

I'd personally wait for a while longer and have something done at MSL or PCS or the like when things have further developed, Eurocharged might even have something for the 43 rather than just plugging a tuning box in

For what its worth I've fitted a DTUK box to my Audi S3. Quality of the hardware is excellent, delivery very quick, easy to fit and plenty of mapping options to choose from. Performance much improved (even got rid of a flat spot at 2800rpm) and fuel consumption improved (brim to brim) if anything, but difficult to say since loving to use the extra urge.
