DVD-based COMAND query

When exactly was it introduced? What are the chances of an S class registered in December 2003 having the DVD system?

NTG1 introduced from MY04 so it will unless the car sat around for a long time before it was sold. See NTG1 section on the link below, there is even a picture of the S Class unit.
