DVD Pioneer Nav system

Have just bought 2001 CLK 230 Kom with the above install, but there seems tobe feed back on the screen. Ok when the negine is off , starts to jump like mad when engine is on and the volume is turned up.

Any ideas were to start..... not the Dealership

Which Pioneer Nav system.... I suspect that the problem is caused by a earth loop problem between the headunit and navi unit, if this is the system I know..

Thanks for the reply the unit is the AVIC 900DVD and the head unit is the AVH p6400cd

This sounds very much like the system I know... I had a simular problem the same model....What I suggest you do is check the earth points where the navi unit and the headunit is installed... maybe you should earth the two points together... this will reduce this but won't fully remove.... alternatively you can call Pioneer on 01753 789789 and ask to speak to the Navi Technical department...they should also assist..
