Well 3yrs and 7mths ago I bought a mercedes C320 from a dealer. So did paperwork and taxed it and a few weeks later got new log book in my name .
then put my personalized plate on and a few weeks later new log but since then I have MOT and taxed.
Jump forward I bought another Mercedes allready mot I have taxed it got new log book in my name so today changed insurance over went to put my own number on retention online wouldnt let me , so phoned the darlings up .
gave them reg number oh you cannot do it the cars been on traders forecourt for 3 yrs even when I explain they say NO , I have to fill in a form send my log book and form with giro £80 they will investigate to see what has happened
Then phoned RAC to change it over for breakdown they still got it down has a ford focus I had 5 yrs ago but had renewal through with c320 on
and to top it off son bought grandaughter a Audi Q3 from copart cat n she applyed for log book got within 2 weeks son replaced bonnet front bumper both headlights at £450 each changed slam panel put in body shop for bonnet and bumper paint sent wheels for refurb .
she got her new prvate plate made up and reg to car taxed it ready for finish next week got new log book did a hpi came back cat b Crushed so he dealing with copart who say they will now investigate but DVLA let her reg it tax it put plate on it when now we have to wait and find out if car got to go back to copart who pay for all work done or it gets re cat so shows up has cat n and not cat b
