Dynavin Sat Nav upgrade

I found this on the US Mercedes forums. Very interesting product.
Do you know if this would work in the UK and would all the functionaility we have on command be able transferred across.

Looks pretty interesting, but essentially it's an aftermarket (Chinese made?) sat nav unit that happens to have OEM styling. Some of the scren menus leave a little to be desired.

Found some for sale in the UK, perhaps it's worth having a word with them?

They are Chinese made but that alone doesn't mean they're bad. 99% of electronics are Chinese made nowadays. I wish they made one for the SL.

True it's a fair point. Like you say most electronics (in fact lots of items) are Chinese made and very good.

What I was referring to was some of the junk you can come across like fake iPods etc. Whilst this item is cwertainly interesting and may look nice, it would be interesting to see how usable it is and whether there is any integration with the vehicle systems (steering controls at the very least).

Reading their web site they claim that all their components are sourced from Europe and they have offices in Germany to maintain the relationship with the German brands. I can't find any mention of integration with existing controls however and you're right, that would be a major deciding factor.
