E Class W211 gearknob removal

Hi All. I have a loose gearknob but I cannot see how to take it apart and tighten everything up. It is the keyless go model on the avantegarde if that helps.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction please?

just prise the cover out from the bottom, 4 clips 2 each side. pull the cover up over the knob.

slacken the plastic nut ½ turn anti clock and the knob lifts off
