Hello all, im new to this forum, and have been reading for a while now, some great info on here. I have just bought my first Mercedes an E200 est fantastic car, came with 16" alloys i think off a newer E class, anyhow i would like to lower the ride hight and belive there is a hight adjuster for the rear somewhere, so my questions are 1) How do i lower the rear with this adjuster and where is it to be found on the car ? 2) To lower the front can i just change the spings ? If so where to get them/best make ?3) Do i need to change the rear spings also ? Many thanks in advance for any help offered

Hi Graeme, thanks for the reply, i have looked at the diagram you have posted and cant see a part 21, even on the written key to the diagram at the bottom it is numbered from 20-23 omitting part 21, thanks anyway. ps it does have sls

Try item no 59.

You can change the ride height by fitting lower spring pads, they come in 5 thickness sizes.

Is the car Classic, Elegance or Avantgarde spec, the Avantgarde is lower and stiffer anyway.

Sorry my mistake the control valve is 59 as dieselman says the adjustable?? arm/link is 41 not 21 as I said.:o
