e220 cdi 2007
Hi everyone,
I am new to Mercedes so please forgive me if not posting under the right section.
My E220 CDI 2006 might need an auto gearbox oil change. When the car is cold, the auto is a bit funny,ie not super smooth, but changes gears as normal. When hot, is plush as anything.
I just want to know if you ever change the Auto Gearbox oil, at what interval and what specs oil should i use? Mine has done exactly 150k miles.
I think the auto gearbox oil has never been changed, or it looks like it.
Any idea where i can find the service intervals, diagrams etc?
Thank you
Much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. The lumpy characteristic when cold is not unusual on the 5sp box.
The service interval is every 7k miles for ATF and its around £150-£170 to change it at a decent MB specialist. Can't help with spec I'm afraid.

I'm sure the ATF interval is recommended around 37-40k miles. There is a guide on here on how to do it if you want to tackle it yourself. You can use any ATF that meets MB 236.14 spec or equivalent. If you Google that spec there is a MB page which lists the brands and their part numbers

I think it's a typo - and AMGeed meant to say '37k'.
