E320 CDI (2001), Wont start or crank. Please Help.

Hi All,

Im new here so please bare with me.

I have a e320 CDI 2001. I was driving recently at low speed and all of a sudden the ebs/abs/bas lights came on and and started flashing tell me to report to dealer or something.

Car was driving fine even with the lights on, so i pulled over to check, turned car off. When i went to start the car it would not start. not cranking. it would click two clicks right, but then it would not start.

Any ideas what this could be? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Checked the battery and thats fine reading 12.4v.

I believe the car has two batteries, are both ok?

Ahh I did not realise this, i checked the battery that is under the rear seats. I have not check the other battery, I shall do so now and see. Thank you.

One battery on these, the 211 has two.

Sounds like a corroded engine or gearbox earth strap.

Hi, yes checked for the other battery, which there isnt, haha.

any other suggestions?
