E320 CDI Black Death

Hi Guys,
The seal on injector 6 has been leaking and has left a black, hard glossy deposit around the top of the injector.
I have managed to get the injector out and have cleaned the surrounding area. On inspection of the injector it would appear that the seat has become pitted.
Does this mean I have to replace the injector or can it be machined to make it smooth.

If you search on 'injector seal' there is loads of info, and from memory the seal seat needs to be recut, which requires the use of special tools.
