My New ( to me but year 2000) 320 cdi now tells me that the oil level is low but it is not, it then goes on to tell me to visit merc. I cant afford to. I get this after about 15 miles journey.
Looking thru the full merc history that i got with the car I find that 2ok miles ago merc advised that the oil level and quality sensor was faulty.( i missed this when I bought it) this was not corrected has anyone experienced this, are they easy to fit, can i do it myself. the car just had a merc A service in July so I guess the oil is good quality. Any help appreciated as I am worried every time I try to ignore the warnings.
It would appear from the history that this fault was intermittent since the car was a couple of years old but that it was never fixed, now it seems to happen each journey (gulp)
I must say that this is the best car that i have owned, she drives like a dream, so smoooooth.
