E350 cdi om642 fuel injector return line fitting snapped

Hi.

I'm not sure exactly what I've snapped but I've done my best to identify it in the title.

Can someone explain from the picture what I've snapped and how to fix it?

I'm struggling cleaning up black death at the moment so suspect it may be that things are a little brittle.

It is the central T fitting for the injector fuel return lines. I snapped mine yesterday!! They go brittle with age. Fitting is not available as you have to buy the complete injector return line. Just bought one this morning from the Stealership. Around £80. Part number A 642 070 02 00

It looks the same as many Bosch T pipes on the return, possible to get from a scrapyard?

I also melted a piece of pipe into this as a temp fix which worked fine.

As i took the line off, it snapped in 2 other places, so I've gone ahead and replaced it with one from mercedes.

I think the black death made all the plastics in the area super brittle.

Still, wish i'd read your post first!
