Hi there guys,

I've recently purchase a E350 and for some reason I'm having trouble with the air distribution.

The car only gives me two options either aim the cold / warm air to my feet or only to the dash vents to face.

I can vaguely remember that when I purchased the car it had an option which selected both feet and upper vents.

I've even read the manual and it pretty simple keep flicking the switch until your desired air ventilation option is there but I can't get the option of feet and upper vents

Please help ?

Thank you

You're right: you just cycle through the manual mode air distribution options, which are:
  • Screen Demist
  • Screen Demist and Face Vents
  • Screen Demist and Feet
  • Face Vents
  • Feet
There is no manual Face Vents and Feet option.

Personally, I always leave mine in Auto mode which seems to work fine.

Thank you for the replies guys...

Is there not an option for feet & face ? (Seems rather odd they don't have that)

got the same car with the same basic ventilation.

What bugs me more is the difference in air speed.

On full speed it is strong. Drop fan strength by one bar and it reduced massively. Further reductions in the control do reduce the fan speed further but the whole set up is inadequate in this heat. Either too much air or too little.

MB need to graduate the fan speed more evenly.

I strongly suggest that you leave the system in full Auto mode. That provides concurrent air distribution to both feet and face vents and also fully modulates the fan speed.

I always have mine in AUTO and never have any problems. If my feet are particularly hot or cold I set the air distribution to 'feet' but that is extremely rare as AUTO works very well for me.
