Hi all,
So my car needs a new EGR, no biggie there and I have the new part and gasket here but….
Firstly I’ve found the two bolt threads in the mating part are stripped (hence a leaking coolant issue which I found) so how do I overcome that and secondly even with bolts out the old part won’t budge. What have you guys used to pull or pry this part out?
I’ve found so many issues on this vehicle - previous owner definitely never had it serviced!!!
Thanks in advance.

If the bolts are stripped you have two options.
1. Replace the manifold.
2. Have the threads repaired

The EGR valve will come out. You have just to be forceful and use a thin chisel to ease it.

I have a knife edge sharpened wide bladed screw deriver just for that job!!
