E500 Presidential?

If Mercedes ever made a 'Presidential' model, I'd bet it was an S-class, not an E.

'Vanguard'? it's either a) made from the last British battleship, or b) A bouncer to look after your Ford Transit, or c) Avantgarde trim. I wonder which?

No distronic. Does have four zone climate tho'.

Is mine a presidential? I dont have the second screen, but do have massage seats, 4 zone ac, airmatic, kids seats plus 7 seats, rear blinds, hidden flip out towbar, and an inflated ego, but only a 4.5 grand estate car......

It is a nice spec, no doubt about it. Cant remember the last E class I saw that came close. I want it, but at the right price ... However also looking at S Class, 745/750/760 BMW, A8s so fingers crossed will find something.

This is pretty rare though ...

It's a 500, they all have four zone.

No cooled seats. Is this because of the Shiatsu armchairs?

£9k for a pre facelift (306BHP) 500 with 137k miles is barking.......

Massage seats is part of the dynamic seat package afaik. The control is under the drivers left knee, on the front of the seat, not very well thought out if you ask me.

Heated seat switch is the end button of the set in front of the gearlever. You can see the heat button, but cooling is missing below it.

You'll find a lot more S500s with those options. I've never understood the E500 saloon personally. The estate makes a lot of sense.

Agree on the estate ... would prefer an estate version if possible.

I don't mind the S Class ... its just finding the right one. Most seem to have grey leather which I dont want.

Reason I prefer the E is its much more unusual, a bit smaller and I think it is a more attractive car than the S class ... but happy to consider both for the right spec.

I drove the S brand new back in the day and loved it.

Thanks for these - I had spotted them and were pencilled on my list. The 53 plate I was put off by cheap tyres. But loved the designo ..
The 54 plate was nice but has been modded so put me off.
Grey leather on the first one ...

Fussy I know but I think the right one will come along ... also not in a rush.

Please anyone add anything else high spec they find.. inc S600, E Class and even other brands. Needs to be dripping with buttons ...
