Early AMG 4 spoke steering wheel
i bought one of these a while back, looked really silly on the car... belongs on a bicycle IMO...
the later one like i have on the sec was a vast improvement...

Wow, gorgeous, genuine AMG wheel for the Series 1 w126 models.
Good investment for the future as these are much sought after, as are the Silberpfeil AMG wheels. Gen I stuff is all big dollar, everyone's after it.
The AMG steering wheels are the thing to have if you're going for the period look. Attached are pics of the 3 variations AMG did for the w126. 4 spoke is early, 3 spoke and the big centre pad one are series 2.
Attached is a pic of the later style AMG wheel as on my SEC....ultra rare piece as it is burlwood and leather...:bannana:

that's because you don't have the AMG Japan brochure...this was an AMG Japan special...Japan got all the best bits.

ps also, not everything available was done in 1988...there were many enhancements by AMG post 88 right upto end 1992 by AMG, including '///AMG' homolgated items for the w126. So an 88 brochure is well out of date...
