Can anyone please tell me the ingredients of Easy Start? Really all I want to know is the proportion of ether in it, assuming ether is the main active ingredient. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance.
PS.
I don't intend using this on a 'Diesel' engine but want ether to fire up an old CI model aero engine - all 1 cc of it!

Cant help with the ether content i'm afraid but i did notice the other in GSF that Easy Start has now been re-named. Its now labelled as Start Yer Ba****d. Made me chuckle quite loudly when i seen that!

For information on ingredients go to web page, product information and dowload MSDS

Followed the advice from Oldcro (Thanks) and found this >>

Name . Content
DIETHYL ETHER 10-30%
Isohexane 10-30%
Propane 10-30%
DI-ISOPROPYL ETHER 10-30%
ACETONE 5-10%
PYRIDINE < 1%

(I edited out EC#, CAS#, and Risk Classification for clarity - can reinstate if required.)

But unfortunately I'm not enough of a chemist to understand it!
There seems to be 2 ethers in there, along with things I've never heard of!
I'm guessing, but would the propane expand to gas immediately released? And what of the other ingredients?
All I'm looking for is for it behave like the bottle of ether that could easily be bought from a chemist back in the day.
And is there anything in there that would act as amyl nitrite or isopropyl nitrate as an ignition improver?
Any ideas anyone ?
