ebay listing - Is interface upgrade possible?

I already have a factory fitted 6210 interface in my W209. Can it be upgraded or does it have to be replaced with an A 203 820 2585 ?

Mercedes telephone interface DME-1E for Nokia telephones. Supports Nokia 51xx, 61xx, and 6210. Mercedes part number A203 820 99 26. The inteface is in perfect working order. The software can be upgraded to support Nokia 6310 or 6310i.

I've not heard of these being software upgradeable, thats why 6210 ones are for sale on ebay . You need a dedicated 6310i interface if you have a 6310i phone.
