Ebay MAF Sensors

Just been advised to get my Air Flow sensor replaced as the engine light keeps coming on. Just looking on ebay and these are selling for around £40 but they are copies. Will this make any difference or is a orginal bosch a must?

these last about 3-4 months... get a bosch one, plenty on ebay.. or just get one from Euro Car Parts or GSF..

The ebay ones are usually not the whole MAS but an insert which you use in your existing one (which already has an insert which I believe MB don't sell separately). I used an aftermarket one in my w202 and it was fine but I couldn't vouch for their longevity or the quality of the ebay ones.

I have disected a couple of Ebay mafs that failed to deliver. They are NOT exact copies and do not always do the job, esp on kompressor motors.
By all means buy from ebay but ensure it is a genuine Bosch/MB and not the SAME as.

its worth contacting BlackC55 he had some real Bosch ones for sale a while back.
