It won't take him long. Searching for "spinal33" brings up your new UserID - I just tried it. Sorry.

I have changed my eBay UserID several times in the last ten years. You can still find my current UserID using any of my old UserIDs, even though I changed from the first one to the second over 9 years ago.

If you don't want people to know what you are buying and/or selling, you have the option to make your feedback rating private. In place of your feedback rating, for example (234), you just get (private). At least you used to be able to do that. I am assuming that you still can.

The problem is that no-one else on eBay can judge whether to deal with you (or not) on the basis of your feedback rating, because they cannot see it.

No, they couldn't.

Actually - they can! Search for the items that a member with private feedback has bid on - you can still see what the person has bid on in the last 30 days (fine - its not 90 like with feedback, but it's almost worse as they can see not only things you won but also those you bid-on and lost!)
