eclass 220 from 2011

I have noticed a fairly loud metallic rattle in the engine bay when you first start the car in the morning. Anyone else? No error messages etc but just doesn't sound normal to me.

This is on a E class from 2011

That will be the engine.

I agree with Monkeylegend. Engines do make a noise. I suspect it's diesel rattle.
