Anyone know of any decent, trustworthy independent Mercedes specialist in Edinburgh or nearby? Will travel to Glasgow if I have to, but the closer the better. Also, what are the main dealers like up here? Apart from the expense of course!

EDIT: Also any indication of what servicing costs should be? Independent and main dealer for comparison.

Thanks.

This guy is class! Knows everything about Mb's, and ive never heard anyone who doesnt think highly of him.

Father-in-laws car (w210 e320 cdi) had esp, abs, brake assist lights on and I tried the usual brake light switch and eventualy took it to terry and found it to be a fuse!!!! he only charged or the 1 hour labour he told me it would be to stick it on the diagnostic, I'm pretty sure theres plenty out there who would have made up or invent a problem just to get some £££ out of us.
There was another time when there was a whineing noise coming from the back, suspected it to be a wheel bearing and so did the mechanic so got both changed @ £80 each plus labour not by terry) but the noise was still there, cut a long story short, took it to terry and turnded out to be a warped disc.... I would have thought the first mechanic would have spotted it......?
Ive just bought a w203 (c220 cdi) and the only place it will be going to is terry's.
Just to add Im in no way associated to him - just a happy customer.

Thanks very much guys, I'm looking at a SL500 tomorrow and wanted to know if there was someone who could look after it so to speak. Long gone are the days of lying under a car trying to get things done myself.
