the DTC was devolving the P0402 code... hope this is all it takes to sort that out...

Believe me that EGR valve is clean compared to older design diesels ie VW PD 1.9TDI's! Newer diesels run so much cleaner and to be honest I doubt this will fix the issue (but fingers crossed for you it does). I'm sure I read the most common cause of failure on these types of EGR are motor/gear wheel failures ie what actually operates the valve.

what a disappointment...! after all the hard work leaving the EGR as pristine, the limp mode came back today... on a short trip of about 5 miles at moderate speed (about 55~60mph) when arriving home, there it was... pedal to metal and no response at all from the engine...

now what??? MAF is clean and reading well, EGR clean and operating, error on DTC still P0402... what else should I look for?

please help!?!?

Or get the car on MB STAR

Had to replace the turbo on a BMW 320d due to a P0402 code

Best get it on MB Star :)
