Hi guys, the W202 C250 TD Sport has a little bit of a situation with the electric windows... well heres the sketch:
This morning, I had no electric windows, and no mirror movement, pulled out the fuses and put them all back in after checking them and heh... half way there, this gave me a passanger window and passanger mirror movement and drivers side rear window started working, but the rest... nothing.
Later I asked someone and he said to undo the battery and leave it for a while, which I did. And now both mirrors work, and all the windows, bar the passanger rear window. I am unaware of how long this problem has been there as the Mrs has been driving and I only noticed nothing was working when I had to pay the toll at Dartford Bridge...
Any ideas what may be wrong, or what may be going on???

Any feedback welcome...

Thanx

Do the windows that work operate on "one touch"?

they work normal, and on one touch, just the one left thats not working, maybe that one has a dodgy motor, but doesnt explain the playing up of the rest of the windows earlier

Very strange. I have no explination for it at all. Maybe the dodgy motor was causing a feed back to the switch panel??????? TBH I am guessing!!

Maybe, good to know im not the only one thats puzzled...
:)

Had similar problem with 97 W210, problem would start pass. window and mirror then drivers and work it way around eventually knocking off C/L. Got answer on another forum from Luders... It was a dodgy door module on back door (even thought this window never gave trouble !!) seemingly it gave out fault onto CAN system and this replicated into shutting all windows down and so on. The solution was wait for problem to occur, then at bottom of B piller remove "plastic triangular piece" and locate electical connector block for back window, disconnect and try faulty window if it works them you know this is problem door module if not move on to other back door repeat. It did work, I never had problem again sold car on with window disconnected. As I remember Luder... started his reply with " You will not belive this but....
Don't know if this is your problem but might help

Thanx MOB... Lets wait for them to stop working again and then give that a shot... nice one
