After 20months ownership I swapped my A45 for an S205 C220d estate. Needs must as change in circumstances mean doing lots of motorway miles for the next 6 months so need something comfy and economical. This was my second AMG having previously owned a C63 estate. Overall experience has been good. The car has been a hoot drive. Average 26mpg over 18,000 miles. The good for me have been the performance and the noise. The seats and the brakes and steering. The bad has been ride which is very firm and no use for long drives. Downside of tight handling I suppose. Also the build quality has been poor. My first and only A class so no experience but mine rattled like a bag of spanners particularly in the roof. It had the turbo replaced under warranty after a recall and the dealer stuffed felt and Velcro everywhere to no avail with the rattles. Not really fair to compare it to the new car as they are different beasts but doing 300 miles tomorrow so will get to know it better. It's a 220d Sport Premium so comes with pano roof, memory seats, ambient lighting etc. Is a very quiet and comfy place to be. The adjustable suspension seems to really make a difference. Picked it up after dark so sorry for crap picture but I think they look good in black.
