Hi team.
Anyone knows what service F is on w211 e63. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Mounts changed at the same mileage (120K) on two of my M113-engined S211s, one with the five-speed, the other the seven-speed, soon after purchase They were well gone on both.

Hi team.
my e63 is leaning on driver’s side.
is it the aromatic system?
Any feedback welcomed.

It could be a leaking air line, valve block or air bag.
Ideally it needs diagnosing by a Mercedes specialist with STAR diagnostics. This can read live data and pinpoint the problem.

Terry at Wayne Gates in Harrow com highly recommended by those who have used him.

With respect, Terry's tech performed a repair on my airmatic and it failed a couple of weeks later. That's one less recommendation.

Was the repair guaranteed or were you informed that it may not last and how did the company deal with it?

That's the only negative post I have ever seen regarding this company.

I did ask the poster a question about the repair but they do not seem to want to answer.

Blimey, I only posted yesterday evening... I hope that you haven't stayed up waiting for my response!

Regarding Terry, I haven't bothered going back to discuss the whats and wherefors, as I've been very busy this year; I just used my local indy who replaced the airmatic system. I wouldn't quite know how to approach the conversation, though I do think that he deserves to be told as feedback on the work undertaken.

My take on it is as follows :

A repair was undertaken.
It failed but you didn't discuss this with the garage involved as to why the repair failed but you went to another garage who had to replace the part.

You then choose to offer a negative review of the first garage without them being able to respond or explain why the repair didn't solve the problem.

Presumably the repair was undertaken in an attempt to save you money?

Hence I find your negative review somewhat lacking in context.

Yes, very likely but it could be one of several reasons - most likely being a leaking air bag.

It needn’t be hellishly expensive if you use a quality aftermarket part like Arnott, and use an independent Mercedes specialist to fit it.

Best get it diagnosed first 👍🏻

Hi team

could anyone tell me if is it necessary to change engine mounts and gearbox mounts if the car reaches 60000 mile mark?
Any feedback is much appreciated. Thank you
That’s a touch earlier than most would replace them - I would imagine around 100k miles is typical - although at 60k miles that could be showing signs of wear and passed their best, even if serviceable for a while longer.

You could do it and find relatively little to no improvement, but that’s the thing with preventative maintenance, you take care of issues before they manifest, making the benefit difficult to detect (beyond the benefit of knowing a future issue is dealt with).

If it was the aromatic system, it would smell funny...

Isn't autocorrect wonderful...:D

(As an aside, I did see an MB service check sheet which included amongst the operations 'fill up/replace perfume atomizers flacon', so obviously an 'aromatic system' malfunction is possible on at least one MB model, but I very much doubt I'll ever have one.)

My comment was in response to the cheerleading recommendation. At the end of the day, I spent my own money and the results were a complete sagging of the rear, as opposed to the slow leak that they aimed to fix.

I don't aim to retell my life story, what is the nature of your interrogation?

Asking you to provide context to your initial disingenuous post is not an interrogation.

As for your use of "Cheerleading" in such a pejorative tone, really?

Wayne Gates, from what I see on here generally gets a great deal of positive feedback.

No garage or person is perfect but they didn't get the chance to discuss the outcome of your initial experience with you because you went elsewhere and then decided to post a negative response.

You add little so I feel you best placed in the ignore list so I do not have to read more of your rather odd posts.
