hi everyone
Can anyone advise me on the following.

My CL600(2001) non turbo is limited to 130mph.
I have been told that this limiter can be removed or "remapped".
Is this possible?

You've just missed a group-buy with Angel tuning doing remaps at a discount. By default they remove the speed limiter unless you ask otherwise :D

Hi, See my thread on Re mapping with the guys at MRC, great job and very professional. They removed the limiter on my car, well upped it to 235 mph which has literally taken it off.

Why would a CL600 be limited to 130 mph rather than the M-B standard 155?

hi

I have been reading this post and replies, may I use the same post,
i.e. my W211 E-Class (2007) 320 CDI V6, 7 speed Turbo diesel also
arrives at 135 mph, I have driven a similar and it goes to 155mph !!
Did MB do the limiter on this Model too ?

The vast majority of 'high powered' Mercedes are factory-limited to 155 mph. But I guess some export models could have been limited to a lower figure for specific markets?

There's often also a speed limit defined in the menus, which is intended for use with winter tyres. Make sure that isn't set.

Thanks Bill for your concern, yes as a matter of fact
I went to the owners manual for instructions how to
use the command and after checking on the car I found
the speed limit for the winter tyres positioned to on.
So this matter is solved. Thanks again.
