engine manegement light on after disconecting and reconecting the battery

Hi all after disconecting and reconecting the battery the engine manegement light stays on {slk 200, 2002} dont know why can someone help please,thank you,Danny

This will quite possibly need to be cleared using a Star diagnostics machine. If you have a friendly MB specialist with a Star, he should be able to clear it in a couple of minutes (assuming the warning is not a genuine problem).

Hi sp!ke thanx man ,was wondering if i re disconnect the battery for a few minutes, do you think it would make a difference or not,this is so weird as the car has been standing on axle stands awaiting a body kit to arrive and to be painted,and an audio install fitted,this problem started this morning when i started it,regards Danny
