ive got these wheels coming and going to get refurbed. What my plan was to get powdercoated black or anthracite and have the faces diamond cut to highlight the spokes

This is what i want them to look like (a set of my old wheels)

But as you can see from the first pic there is the words "Avant Guarde" engraved on the wheels which im not a fan of. But as im stuck with it do you think I should have the wording coated silver first which will hide it a bit or just get the whole wheels done in black and when the face is cut it will leave the wording in black which will stand out loud and proud ???

any thoughts ???

Cant you run a bit of filler over the writing and hide it completely?

possibly if i was powdercoating the whole wheel but not possible if i want the faces diamond cut. id rather have the cut look and be stuck with with the words than not have the cut look

How deep is the lettering? It may be possible to skim enough off the face of the spokes to eliminate it altogether without compromising the integrity of the wheel.

Maybe have it welded up by an aluminium welder and ground down flat?
