EPC Light on 220 Diesel 1997

I've had the EPC light come on and the power drops to limp home mode. MB dealer thought they had detected problem when a wire was loose on the air intake sensor. Been OK for a while but has recently done it again. Dealer says need to keep car for 3-4 days to check out. Has anyone had the same problem and found a cure? Engine runs perfectly ALL of the rest of the time. Any ideas?

The car will have stored fault codes if the EDC light is on. A Bosch diesel centre would be able to read the codes and will probably know the cause. Labour rates will be a lot cheaper than MB dealer.

It sounds like you have a bad connection or a sensor down.
